Quail By Mail is interviewed by Faircompanies in CaliforniaI operate an ethical fashion label called Quail By Mail in Devon. Quail specialises in organic and Fairtrade fashion for women and the entire collection is made in England, mostly in rural Devon.
I was recently interviewed by Kirsten Dirksen, Director of *Faircompanies in California. Dirksen, an Emmy award-winner, is a producer, director, writer, shooter, editor who has dedicated her career to making entertainment television with an eco message. Her work has appeared on MTV, Oxygen, NBC, WE, Discovery Channel, The Sundance Channel and the Travel Channel. She graduated from Harvard University in 1992 with a B.A. in Economics.

No - I own the grand total of three bags
One for funerals - black, 6 years old
One carpet bag - a year old (last years birthday present - big enough for a small cloth nappy collection)

there's a book by Prudence Mapstone (scrumbler extraordinaire) called "Never too many handbags"! Clearly you don't subscribe to that theory.
Nor do I. I have one very good leather bag.

Here's the Cowhide Hip Satchel.
The leather is actually Scottish deerskin married with super soft cowhide. From an ethical point of view, this bag is incredibly sustainable because the deerskin is actually a by-product of highland estates venison and the skins are handled by the leatherworkers during countless processes.
