I've been hoping to try bunnies this coming year. ooh, maybe a new year's resolution. Anyhow, is it really as easy as folks make it seem? Just pop 'em, skin 'em, gut 'em and stew 'em?
I'm going to need to borrow a gun though... my deer rifle probably wouldn't leave much bunny for me....

pretty much! Fairly simple, same as a deer but a tad smaller.

Oh, I don't know - used to know a Yank who shot them with a 30-06. As long as you go for head shots it will be fine. My .17HMR takes their heads clean off, and the meat is unaffected. Just makes skinning even easier.

I've only ever seen the tiny holes they make in paper. Such an innocent little round.

Do game dealers buy them as i have a few to get rid of but not keen on shooting them to throw under the hedge for the foxes?

Try firing a .22 hollowpoint at a molehill. Then try firing a .17HMR at a molehill. That will give you a good idea of their relative capabilities.

Suprisingly I managed to get Whitelegg2 to try squirrel the other night......
Oven roasted, then shreaded a la crispy duck.
In a fajita with a tomato salsa and creme fraiche.
Very nice, and they have now been added to the acceptable garden quarry list!!
Obviously this is due to the amount of damage they cause, rather than purely shooting to eat.....
Those wood pigeons cause untold damage to my peas......and they have a habbit of stealing the bread I put down for the starlings at my primary zero!

A youtube video idea! I'd give it a go if, a) I had a variation for expanding ammunition and b) a .17 HMR
