Reclaimed yard space - anything I can grow over winter?I'm a bit late to the party this year 
Reclaimed some outdoor space (former wilderness) & wondering if I can grow anything to eat over the winter.
Soil is beautiful but completely ruined with old building waste / foundations every few feet so we are talking pots, cold frame or at a stretch I could build a raised bed...
Any suggestions welcome

Garlic springs to mind, good time to plant fruit in tubs too.

You might get away with late sowings of rocket, lambs lettuce and chinese salad leaves if you put them under cloches.

Broad beans (e.g. Aqua Dulce Claudia) up to November and also peas (e.g. Douce Provence).
