Reduction Day Wadebridge 10th Septthe WREN group (Wadebridge Renewable Energy Network) are having a Reduction Day at Wadebridge Town hall on Sat 10th Sept between 2pm and 5pm. There will be lots of stalls and presentations from Duchy College, Eden project, Council initiative for free loft insulation, and some free energy monitors to be given away.Im going (have to do my bit), and taking some redundant wood (chair legs etc) which small son recycles by woodturning into useful objects, and my knitted TV blanket (made by using small or odd balls of wool). I remember that the article on slow cookers had a bit about how much energy you could save using these, but cantr remember where it is. I also think there was a thread on how much a tumble drier costs to run. |
