Rehoming

Due to failing health and the need to escape a bit more, I'm sadly asking if anybody can re home my beautiful girls. Just two years old, all 7 laying and very happy and healthy. I live in Milton Keynes area. Inbox of you help. I want them to go to a lovely home. My grandchildren love them so they are used to children. Photo if you want one.

Our landlord and neighbour is looking for some chickens, I assume they are chickens and not geese or ducks ?

Can you PM me contact details please if they haven't been spoken for.

If it does not work out with MornieG, I can help with re-homing temporarily.

Didn't someone from Towcester post here? Confused

Thanks folks, I think it would be difficult to get them yo Wiltshire, Towcester would be fine, it's only 12 miles away. Would be a bit concerned about integration. ??

Thank you! I know they will be happy in their new home, they are gorgeous girls! Look forward to seeing a photo! And thank you for finding their new owners, I'm going to miss them. Hope they continue to lay loads of eggs every day!

Here are your girls. Clucking away happily in the sunshine. This will be their world in the middle of the orchard in a couple of days when Cynth lets them out. One laid an egg as soon as she got home yesterday LOL They should be in chook heaven come autumn with apples, pears and plums.

Awwww bless them. It's very quiet here today without their morning greeting. They look like they have settled in. They had a big coop and bedroom and egg laying box here but no free range freedom, so they will love that. Hens should have freedom to scratch and spread their wings. Did they all go to bed ok last night? Thanks for posting pics. I think you can see I've cherished those hens, funny how attached we can get to them isn't it?

Anyway, thanks again, for everything.

Cynth said they were all settled down when she went to shut them in last evening. They were very chatty when I went up to photograph them just now. They will be let out in a couple of days when they have a bit of time to get used to their new home. The orchard is large so the ark will be moved around lots so when they are in there they can still scratch around in clean earth.

Thank you for offering them it was great timing as my friend had only said the week before she wanted to keep chickens again.

The one thing I had that was invaluable was a "chooks away'" automatic pop hole opener/shutter. It meant I didn't have you worry about locking them up, it did it automatically.
