Road kill

Has anyone else noticed in that in the last few months there has been much less road kill around?

Could this be everyone is feeling the pinch and so picking more up?

or

Is there some other reason?

Or perhaps drivers are going (slightly) slower due to the cost of fuel?

That was my first thought too.

When we were in France earlier this month people seemed to me to be driving more slowly than in the past. Hardly anyone overtook me if I stuck to the speed limit.

Yes but I keep telling you - they mean km per hour, not miles.

I wimped out and used the kph readings on the speedo this time.

I don't drive roads that have much roadkill these days, but when I had a longish commute along country roads I noticed that the morning roadkilll of bunnies, squirrels, rats and so on was usually scoffed by magpies, crows etc by the time I drove home in the evening. Have you noticed an increase in chubby magpies lately?

What, as opposed to trying to convert miles per hour to kilometres per hour in your head, as the gendarmerie are trying to get you to pull over?
