Ruby Ruby

Has anyone got any experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails? I have some basic html experience and have done a bit of scripting (vbscript and powershell), and I have been asked to help out with a web site that is being created with Rails. I had never heard of it before, but it looks quite interesting after a spot of Googling. Is it hard to learn, or should I just politely decline?

I've heard of it and it's a very good scripting language but it's also very easy to tie yourself in knots with it as with any language - it all depends on how confident you are about learning something new

TBH it's been on my to-do list for quite a while - this is the link I have to get confident with it

I've not used it but Ruby (as in Ruby-on-Rails) as I understand it follows the MVC architecture which I use a lot for building web sites in .NET (ASP.NET MVC). MVC, as an architecture, is great to work with in a web application environment.
