scented mug matsI've just bought a set of four of these from the local coffee shop.they are made by Sarah Hickman of http://www.tlccrafts.co.uk They are the size of coasters, make of fabric and within the lining there are dried herbs/spices ( mine are cinnamon and clove). When you put a hot mug on one the scent of the spices is released. I thought they were something different to do with fabric scraps and will be making some from my lavender this year. I do hope that Sarah who made them doesn't mind me sharing her idea here, but I thought it was great.
