SD card identity ?My new Nikon camera has been stolen from my locker at work, sometime on Friday afternoon.
The battery was flat, I have the charger. I also have the software.
I have informed Jessops, they will be wary of someone trying to buy just a charger/software.
Is it possible to track the use of an SD card ?
Will be contacting Nikon UK when their office opens on Monday.

I think the only way that would work was if you had already pre loaded it with a prog that would dial home invisibly every time it was plugged in & reported the IP it was connected to.

Very doubtful - flash media have no readily indentifiable properties.

Gutted for you Dave - I've just bought a new Nikon camera too and I know how bad I'd feel if it got stolen so soon...

Ta for your replies. Thing that hurts the most is it one of my work mates, (possibly). Reports of a delivery driver looking for the stores seen in our shop.
I had also bought a national geographic camera pouch, but ordered the wrong size (too small) so I had put my MP3 player, my petzyl head torch, one or two other things in it, the thief took it as well.
Along with my keys, I think I'm about £400.00 out of pocket.
Gutted, has knocked my faith in human nature, until I find out who has robbed me, I will be a very different character at work.

Have you checked your home insurance? Surprisingly, they might cover you.
I'm prepared to bet that work's won't, tho.

may not need a charger, same one works on my mobile and my camera and software on most cameras is non essential, I've never installed any of it so you may not have any luck looking for anyone after that either
