sealing with pvaConcrete floor needs sealing to keep the dust down, what mix? 5 to 1 comes to mind but I'm in the pub and slightly forgetful.

1 to 5 springs to mind although I've found PVAs to be of differing quality. If it's an important job then I'd buy a decent one and follow the instructions on it.
Yes, Wickes suggest 1:5 - http://www.wickes.co.uk/pcat/210cdhesiveschecklist

Yes, from the link I gave:
Quote: | You can also use PVA building adhesive as a sealer. Dilute one part of PVA Building adhesive with five parts of water for sealing porous or dusty wall, floor and ceiling surfaces |
I'll add I've never done it though, just aware of the dilution.

Belated reply - the PVA they supply these days is so watered down that 4 or 5 to one is useless - plaster will slide down walls, floors will scuff right up again, etc.
About the only stuff that isn't shit is Cementone, and I'd still mix that at 2 parts water to one PVA.

Did the job until the floor was covered about a month ago.

Ah, I thought it was a shed floor or something and you were keeping it naked!
