Services off the A303

Anyone know where I can find a list of what services (petrol/coffee/toilets etc...) are available off the A303 and where they are?

Don't know where there's a complete list but there's one near me at Mere (wilts) - petrol, Little Chef and loos - but if you want a decent meal the nearby pub is fantastic, there's services near Stonehenge, and a couple of more between Stonehenge and M3. Not sure about further West though

If you want them on the 303 then the AA route planner lists them I think. If you want something better, just off the road then I'm not sure.

Struggling with the AA site at the moment from the home puter - doesn't want to load any of the maps or routes, just freezes - I will have a look tomorrow.

There is no rush but we have to drive from Brancaster Staithe to Sidmouth in October and having never done it before need to plan ahead at least one stop Very Happy

There's a new complex with the obvious mainstream services (Hotel, petrol, supermarket, KFC, Pizza Hut) just before you get to Stonehenge going west at Amesbury.
Morrison's supermarket with cafe and cheaper petrol are just off the road on the last turnoff to Wincanton.
If you have children/dogs that need to let off steam and the weather's good, then Ham Hill Country Park is a mile south of the A303 just after the main turnoff to Yeovil in Somerset with a good country pub and hillfort/quarry to explore.
If you detour at the South Petherton roundabout and take the old 303 rather than the new road you go past a good organic foodstore and, I think, cafe at Lopen, and through Ilminster, a pretty small town with good butchers, bakeries and cheese shops, before rejoining the main route to the west.

Oh, it's not to do with the A303, but whilst you're in Brancaster, try and see the work of a wonderful landscape photographer, Harry Cory Wright, who has photographs and books of the area at the Saltwater Gallery nearby at Burnham Market. http://www.saltwater.co.uk/ . He uses a 10x8 film camera and I produce traditionally hand-printed colour photographs for him.
