Sharpening rotary cutter bladesI seem to have built up a fine collection of blunt rotary cutter blades, and now that my sewing mojo has returned am getting through new blades at a rate of one every couple of months. Has anyone ever sent them off to have them sharpened? Was it effective? Cost-effective? Any recommendations of places to send them?

good question, I didnt even know they could be resharpened successfully. I've just switched out the blade on mine and was wondering whether to scrap or save the old one.

Yes, on my blades there are numbers around the circumference - I think this is to do with indicating the number of times they have been sharpened. (Can't remember where I read this though).

It would be worth echoing the previous angle with a grinder and giving it a go. I think it would be important to take the same amount off both sides to save virbrations.
