Simple yoghurt queston, lid on flask or not?

I have a flask to put the yoghurt in to refridgerate it but the article didn't say whether to put the lid on while it refridgerates or not?

Thanks.

Do you mean you've made the yoghurt in a flask, and now you want to chill it to eat?

Either way I would put the lid on - when you're incubating it you want to maintain a steady temp and when you are chilling it you want to stop it from being tainted by other things in the fridge.

However I think it would be best not to store the finished yoghurt in a Thermos flask but to tip it in to another container (glass or plastic) with a lid, and chill like that, as the Thermos will stop it from chilling so quickly.

Hope this makes sense but if I've not understood you properly please shout!

I keep the yoghurt in a large (about 800ml) glass jar with a screw top in the fridge. Keeps really well, and no smells get in. And you can see in to see what flavour it is!

When making the yohurt it is with lid on, as you are trying to keep the tempurature right.

Then it's into the fridge in an ice cream tub in our case.
