So far so not too bad... (LIST)

Having had a couple of crappy days feeling not at all well, I've been moving even more slowly than usual, but most of Monday's list is now ticked off and I even managed to handwash some woollies yesterday when I needed something mindless to do!

Better today and have done Very Happy :

breakfast/wash/dress/wash up etc
10 mins meditation
collect bread
do local shopping for fruit/veg
drop stuff off at charity shop
library

To do:

elevenses
list de-hoarded stuff on freecycle
do garden this and thats
kitchener toe of sock
bake something
rest/eat etc

Can't believe it's already Friday again!
Bebo

So far:
- Washing up mountain tackled
- Managed to save 65quid a month by sorting out some direct debits that should have been cancelled and swopping mobile phone / broadband tariffs.
- Dealt with a load of tedious personal paperwork
- Been to Wadhurst to arrange collection of the OH's last e-bay win (10 galvanised feed troughs and a hay feeder)

To do:
- Couple of hours of work
- A bit more tedious personal paperwork
- Get something for lunch
- Make cake and anything else I can be bothered with cooking / blanching for the freezer
- Make some icecream with some of those wonderful vanilla pods that have just arrived
- Have a soak in the tub with a magazine
- Visit my dad
- Go to the pub for dinner

Done:

Get new job

To do:

Have major hypocrisy day, due to fiddlesticks crew and Sundry visit on Sunday.
Sunday, have major hypocrisy day in the gaden, before a frantic wash and brush up
Ignore the watering system
Frewen

New job

NEW JOB !

Tell us more Cool
wellington womble

Really not much to tell - applied for a neuro rehab job in watford, invited to interview saturday, went yesterday, got it. More money, less responsbility, more benefits, less clinical autonomy, more training, longer commute. Better than the current circus, not as good as going it alone. A pretty safe solution all round, really. Probably a good thing with the credit crunch and finishing the house and all.

So mixed blessings Neutral

Aren't they all? Laughing

Good for you Very Happy

I'm waiting for quiche to come out of the oven Rolling Eyes

Think I'll open another beer.............
Frewen

Right then I'll see your beer and open a bottle of homemeade apple and elderflower Laughing
Bebo

OK, last beer cold beer in the fridge and its a can of wifebeater - yuck. Never mind at least its cold. There are three bottles of pink wine in there, but I can't drink that - its far too girly!
Frewen

So why is it in your fridge then? Laughing
Bebo

For guests. We have people staying most weekends and I always keep a few bottles of wine in the fridge in preparation, 'specially if my sister in law comes down - shes a bigger boozer than I am.

Congratulations Very Happy .

You'll be able to increase your responsibilities and clinical autonomy over time and, as you say, being employed is probably the more prudent option at the moment.

I missed this yesterday, Congratulations! When do you start?
wellington womble

Not till October - CRB and stuff. Ugh, do I have to make a list today? It's all cleaning stuff. I don't even want to think about it.

Right, things I need to do that don't involve cleaning - or tidying......

ignore the watering system
take pics of the house so visitors will recognise it when they get here
remember to buy potatoes
buy more vodka and make more vanillia extract
email about the gift vouvhers
clean the entire house, from top to bottom
make up the spare beds
see if the divan on the landing can have another home
remove compost bin from kitchen (maybe)
rearrange the dining room
dig spuds for dinner

wellington womble wrote:

wus going to toss sleeping bags in back of car so you can cross that off the list if you like

wellington womble wrote:

not on our account please Laughing

No thanks, himself is very particular about rostie spuds - they have to be special varieties - King Edwards or Maris Pipers. I didn't let him join the roast potato debtate. I didn't want to have to ban him!

Beds are not problem - The bedding it on the beds, just in a heap at the moment, so needs sorting anyways.

I hasten to add the compost bin is new and (so far at least!) empty! It's raining, so that may not get done, anyway - it's a useful surface to put things on.

You might want to bring something for the boys to drink - We not much good a soft stuff, round here (at least that isn't water or coffee, anyways)
