Soft fruitGreengrocers on Cambridge market have surpassed themselves.
Available for purchase, all from within a few miles of the city, we have strawberries, raspberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants, gooseberries, tayberries and loganberries. Fantastic, truly superb quality; I should think that if you're into buying soft fruit rather than growing/foraging, now is just about the best time to see what your local producers are flogging.

Strawbs were dutch last saturday. Domestic fruit is sadly lacking on Leeds Market.

Same here, when our supermarkets were selling English strawberries every stall on the market was still selling imported rubbish.
At least we've got a decent range of soft fruit in the garden, I've been enjoying nibbling on our blueberries already.

The thing that really pees me off about our local farmshop is the dutch mushrooms, at least 2 growers in Essex
