It's that time of year isn't it - we've got some seriously big 'uns around at the moment. Lucky I'm not scared of spiders (quite the opposite) because they've generally been guarding the entrance to the toilets in our house! 
Mind you some Breton spiders do tend to bite...... my last bite was on my birthday when I was trying to save one spider from being cocooned up by another one - and the one I saved bit me, the horrible ungrateful thing. Itched and hurt for weeks.

Well mostly I only wake up in the morning with bites on my neck or face, blissfully unaware that something has been chomping on me during the night.  There are some biting species in the UK as well you know!
