St Georges mushrooms

Just found some mushrooms in the garden in a shady spot. They seem to be St Georges comparing them with the photos here. Is it too late for them? Is there a danger of them being confused with something else?
'Cos I'd like to have them for my tea.

Did you eat them? June certainly isn't too late.

Hi,

I found a patch of dried out St Georges on Saturday, but not good enough to eat. Also puff-balls (Calvatia utriformis), another shed load of really good Oyster Mushrooms (they seem to be everywhere down here) and my first Death Cap of the season. I must admit that I'm getting a bit bored of Oyster Mushrooms but not bored enough to eat the Death Cap!

Also found masses of Wood Sorrel. I have found this many times before but not in such large amount.

Noticed a good crop of young Sloes on the bushes - looks hopeful for my Slow Gin Smile
