sticky ginger pork steaks

1/4 teaspoon five spice powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 pork steaks (could use chicken or tuna steaks )
oil for frying

for the sauce

1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger
2 finely chopped garlic cloves
100ml hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar (original recipe said 3)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2tablespoon nam pla
1 tablespoon soy sauce

Season the meat with the five spice powder and pepper.
Fry until cooked and set aside.
In the same pan, add the ginger and garlic and fry for a few seconds.
Stir in all other ingredients.
Bring to boil and simmer for a few minutes until thick.
Return the meat and cook for a further couple of minutes

serve with rice and stir-fired greens.
