Strange growth!Anyone have any idea what this is, it;s about the size of a tennis ball and has appeared in 2 spots in our garden, suggestions have included truflles (not likely) and wild boar poo (highly unlikely in our enclosed garden area!!) suggestions would be helpful not as we intend to eat, but as can take precautionary measures with the children, Thanks!

Could be a mashed up puffball of some sort but don't take my word for it!

Thanks Stewy, seems to be the general consensus, asked on a local forum and they seem to be quite common round here. Maybe the mower went over it last time , hence mashed up!
