Suggestion: Interest icons in profileHi there folks,
I know it would be a bit of overkill what with the new recipe db and the server move.
But wouldn't it be cool to to have icons in our profiles that showed our interests?
eg. Chicken, bee, woodwork, plants, wool, linux  (sorry)
Maybe an idea for the future?

Oh yeah. I forgot the icon for logging onto the forum at 2am and making posts you regret in the morning.

I like this idea. A lot. I suggested it in the past, and got told No. I suspect it's because the Mods are mean. So, I'll back you, but that may be the kiss of death.

Personally I'm not struck on the idea. I reckon that regular posters soon get to know each other's interests and indeed e-personalities

@ Barefoot - your right. I think it was the geek in me coming out. Thinking about it, I've been on here for a couple of months now and I have good idea what the regular posters are up to and interested in.
It's always nice to play with icons and avatars though. (I'm fed up with my dr bob dobbs one already). Google it.

Yeah - but us anglo saxons can put up with this (didn't you watch 1066 last night).

but icons are a quick ref for visual learners amongst us. i recall ppl by images not names
pig avatars make me assume they are into pigs, bees bees, sheep sheep etc... trust me some of you have very odd hobbies/interest based on this, in my mind
