Swifts, swallows, housemartinsApparently the arrival dates for these in the UK are getting earlier. Probably global warming.
Yesterday, theswallows arrived here, which is earlier than usual, thinking about previous years.
Used to have housemartins nesting under the eaves, but they haven't been for a couple of years.
Have the swallows arrived where you are ?

Haven't seen any, but that doesn't mean they aren't around. I like to first see swoopy swifty swallowy things on my birthday at the beginning of May, so I try not to notice them before then
(I'm rubbish telling swifts from swallows from housemartins, so I call them all SSSTs, much to my twitcher friend's disgust )

Swallows arrived 5th April. They are swooping over our pool hawking for flies.
