Talking of Rowan knitting books...(cheeky request coming up....)
Does anyone have issue 40? And if so, would you be willing to photocopy a pattern for me to save me buying the whole thing? I'm happy to pay costs, obviously, but don't really want to spend £10.50 on the book for one pattern (that I might never get around to making).

Sorry, not 40, but I do have no 41. I certainly didn;t regret paying the full whack of 12.50 for it , though, it's a book rather than a magazine like they used to be, so well worth teh money in my view.
I know that doesn't really help you, but I'd be wil;ling to copy from 41 if there was soemthing in there you liked.

Thanks very much, Sarah. I want to knit a simple cardigan in Rowan felted tweed yarn and there's a pattern in no 40 which I saw yesterday that is the right shape. It's very patterned, but I'm assuming (perhaps a bit optimistically!) that I can adapt it to one colour. There's nothing else in the book that I'm likely to use, so I thought I'd see if I could "borrow" it before buying it. I'll see if I can get a squint at no 41 and if there's something I like in there I'll PM you.

Shaded Flower. Only I want to do it plain, or maybe striped. I'd never manage that pattern .
As an aside, I love leggings and pixie boots like the model is wearing - I'm lusting dreadfully after these boots at the moment . Thank goodness they are brown and wouldn't go with anything else I own!!

Nice boots - I remember wearing similar way back in the earlyish 80s - can't remember what they were called, but they had the same turned down cuff and flat heel, but were in suede; bit cheaper too.............
Cardi looks nice - let me know how you get on.

I've only got one Rowan book - but it's number 40. PM me your snail mail address and I'll stick a copy of the pattern in the post for you.
