TB Testing and movement of cows. What are the requirements for TB testing prior to a move?
I have one I'd like to move to a bull for a brief, but romantic, interlude and another that needs to go to slaughter for my freezer. Both were tested about 3 months ago, and none of my farmers actually know if I must retest one, or both before their next journey. And if I have to have her tested to visit the bull, how long can she stay before she'll need a retest to come home again?

I have no idea at all about such things, but would the bull also need a recent test?

Potentially, but that's covered, he's had his very recently. Getting the bull to us is an alternative plan. However, there are too many Lady Cows about for that to be ideal.

Last journey needs no test.
Sex journey needs to have 60 day test, and this is for either.

Depends on your testing interval. Are you on 48 months tests? Do you have to pre move test? Some dont.

Don't know about new rules, but the VLA have challenged the thinking behind cattle-to-cattle transmission with the findings that bTB strains have remained geographically linked over time suggesting that there is a static factor behind the disease.

If you arecon 12 monthly testing then you will need a pre move test.

I forgot different parts of the country had different intervals.
We are on 12 monthly here.
