I wouldn`t ,and probably couldn`t afford, the alloy/copper ammo.
I should have stated I am working up handloads and then when talking to a friend we got onto weight/calibre and it descended into hades as we discovered(Cheers Mr.GOOGLE !) that there are other things,such as curve of the ogive etc.
After that we both had frazzled crania(?) so I had posted to see if someone can shed light on it in simple words and pictures

maybe finding an expert to match gun /n / round /n/ target is the way forward

build a practice round for 100m ,use one of those ones fof a freezer shot

I`m fine @ 100-200yds but need to get it right for 300-600yds as there is a world of difference.
