The parish harvest BBQWas last night. Over 100 folk, not all local; an excellent band, though not enough people danced (ceilidh dances); BBQ itself went smoothy after a late start, so we had to wait while the flames died down. Nice atmosphere, pleasant evening had by all, with more than a few sore heads this morning, I'd reckon

Must be something in the air. We had a community walk and BBQ yesterday. It was a lovely day out - we did a circular route to the disused chapel across the valley that I had never walked before. All ages came, and those not so sprightly on their pins went in the charabanc - a large trailer with some makeshift seating, pulled by one of the farmers on his quad!
The BBQ was a little more restrained than yours, Gil, so no sore heads here, just pleasantly exercised legs!
