These 'Recylce Your Christmas Cards here' bins

Every supermarket seems to have them. Am I missing a trick or can you not just put your cards in you normal recycling bin/box?
tahir

Maybe they send them to Father Christmas, something for the elves to do in the off season?

They've had them for ages, though. I think they're a hangover from before the days of recycling collections.

Yes. I think so. I recycle mine next year by making them into gift tags.

I try not to buy them in the first place. This year I bought one Xmas card - for my Mum - otherwise she'd get the hump.

But these are for the ones you receive not send.

I just realised I've got a bag of card to take to the recycling depot - never thought of putting my Xmas cards in there though, I took them to work to put in the recycling box they've got there for cards... Rolling Eyes Embarassed

I think they raise money for 'charidy great mate' by reprocessing them into new things - don't know what though.

I think gnashers right and they are made into new christmas things.

I cut mine into gift tags or save them for my daughter to use in crafts

Why? People send me the cards. I may as well use them again.

Mine get split in the middle and I use the blank sided bits for postcards, rest on to the compost heap.
