Today I will be mostly ....... receiving 219 spam emails in German. Arvo has just accused me of browsing dodgy German websites looking for large knockwurst's. It's all a lie, a lie, I tell you.

Hah, I had 3000 spam emails when we got back from holiday. None of them about sausages though.

Can you *get* spam sausages?

Walls and the like are made from much the same ingredients as spam is I believe.

*shudder*
Perhaps it's a good think I don't read German

That's bound to be a good thing, the works of Gunther Grass and Thomas Mann are almost unbearably tedious.

Yes, it's a shame you can get them in translation, really

You can get round that by insisting that translations are never really satisfactory so you only read literature in its original language.

I like your style, Sir.
But doesn't that then rule out all ancient history texts? Or does one just plug away at the Latin and ancient Greek?

I wish I got german sausage spam, I just get dodgy job vacancies nowadays

Done them. Sanskrit's proving a right bugger though.
Edit that's @Chez, not Penny.

Penny - I can forward you on some if that would help? I've been reading it aloud to Arvo this evening. I have no idea what I've been telling him .

Join a library email list. I get better mortgage deals and cheap valium offers.
