Todays ferreting

I went out for a couple of hours today at home it was the first time the Jill had been out since having her kits

This one slipped the net but it couldn't escape from my Lurcher

As you can see I only had two but that'll keep the ferrets in food for a week, I decided to pack up then as it was getting too hot for the dog.

Ferrets look really interesting. I think I'd like to keep them, but wouldn't know where to start. How much excercise/hunting do they need? We don't have many rabbits here, so they might be a luxury.

With regards to exercise/hunting etc; I'd feel the best answer would be 'as much as possible' Mine live in a big 'court' and have plenty of room to play and amuse themselves.

I wouldn't keep any if I didn't have lots of work for them but they do make great pets if that's your thing.

I'm a strong believer in the saying " you get out what you put in " and they work hard for me and do a grand job of keeping down the rabbit numbers in south somerset so they deserve the best I can give them in return.........

A good answer, leveller: thanks. I thought that might be the situation, so I won't be getting any! Don't really do pets here: even the cats have to work for their livings.
