toiletries in bulkWe usually use, for personal use, Neways products here, but they don't supply them in bulk.
For the B&B showers, and basins and cloakroom basins I am thinking about Faith in Nature products, or Ecover.
Any thoughts on these?

Have you tried asking about becoming a 'distributor' for Neways and getting the stuff cheaper? I do like it - a friend of mine does it - but it's soooooo expensive.

My mum is a distibuter, but they only do 500ml as their biggest size, and I want to be able to get 5l, to reduce packaging.

Ecover definitely do big bottles of stuff ... don't know about Faith in Nature though.

They both do them, but I have never used the products, so was wondering what people thought of them.

I've currently got 8 FiN bottles on my bathroom shelf - I like them. The chocolate's really quite good - milk for the hair and dark for the body.

I use the Ecover Laundry liquid and the Dishwasher tablets as well as the washing up liquid - No issues with any of them - sometimes you have to use a bit of Ecover Laundry Bleach on really stubborn stains or mucky kids shirt collars but on the whole they are excellent
ClearSpring however is absolutely awful - Doesn't wash properly at all - I've used it before and was very pleased with it but they must have changed the formulation because the last lot I've had has been dreadful - I've had to resort to using it with a single tab of Asda's own washing tablets

For laundry I find the ecover tablets better than the liquid of powder.
The dishwasher tablets are ok.
I love the washing up liquid as it is very gentle.
Have you ever used the liquid soap Jo?

I use Ecover washing powder, washing up liquid and hand wash. However, I can't stand the smell of their shower gel, which is very different to the hand wash. Prolly just me.
We use Faith in Nature shampoos and shower gels instead. I thought they were quite expensive to start with, but they last very well and I get the feeling they are cost effective. Must keep track of usage and cost sometime .

I haven't used the liquid soap - I was thinking about buying some for the bathroom and downstairs in the kitchen when you just need to wash your hands and don't want to use yet more washing up liquid

I use the liquid soap and really like it. It has a pleasant scent of lavender but not over-powering -- rather like the scent levels in their washing up liquid. It lasts for ages too as a little goes a long way.

I use ecover for dishwashing - tablets and washing up liquid for the stuff that does not go in the machine, and also washing powder. I like them all....... but do have to leave Mr RJ at home when I need to buy more as they cost so much more than conventional stuff.
I make my own soap and shampoo, so can't comment anymore, but am certain this saves me money........

You will have a hard time getting anyone to supply sizes greater than 5 litres. You will also need to consider health and safety as they are funny about hotels refilling containers for guest use.

I like the fin shampoos, (have used rosemary and the seaweed). We buy them with our wholesale bulk buys though are able to buy these particular products as one offs as they're willing to split the packs- so work out relatively cheap
we use ecover washing powders which we also buy in bulk. the non bio original comes in large ?10kg bags. the bio only seems to come in packs of about 4 boxes (of about 1.2kg each) - though to be honest i'm beginning to wonder about trying something else as it doesn't seem to be getting through the stuff that DS cakes his clothing with! (despite using their laundry bleach at times. )
For the dishwasher i use clearspring gel - again bulk buy in 5 litre containers.

I have the opposite experience with Clearspring - love the stuff (and they have changed slightly, its a little more concentrated than it used to be) and find it washes well, even when using lots less than suggested. We've recently gone back to faith in nature for 'self' washing products as well and wondering why we ever bought other things (oh yes, living somewhere where there was none sold and not organising ourselves to buying direct )

What about http://www.purenuffstuff.co.uk/index.php ? I haven't tried their products myself, but I seem to remember they were recommended by someone on here. They are a small company and might be willing to supply you larger quantities even if it's a new idea to them.
