Turnip soup - surprisingly niceIn 3oz of butter sweat two chopped med onions and three cloves of crushed garlic.Add 2lb of peeled and roughly chopped turnips. An inch of fresh ginger peeled and chpped, 6 cardamom pods and the peel of half a large lemon. Put the lid on and let it sweat for ten mins then add two pints of veg or chicken stock. Simmer till soft and mushy. Remove cardamom pods. Blend. Season. Yum. |
