Urgent help!

Sorry this seems garbled - My wife's master server comp at school - OFSTED (god bless them) in on Monday morning - nothing in school now works!

Blue screen says:

UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

***STOP:0X0000000ED
(OX80F12370,0XC00000032,0X0000000,0X000000)

any (urgent help greatly appreciated)
Thanks

ps can't get into BIOS etc setup as password protected (nobody knows it)

Sounds like a Linux PC saying its hard drive is well busted Sad

Can't think of nice optimistic things to say as to what to do Sad

Like jema says, sounds like the hard drive is dead. Had a simular message from my sons pc a few months ago and that drive was well dead, couldn't even use it as a secondary drive to get his stuff off Sad just happened for no reason, one day was fine and then nothing

Thanks. I 'googled' it as well and came up with one or two ideas - but also lots of people who said the same as you!
Printed it off and passed it to the powers that be anyhow.

Thanks

It may be worth checking all the internal cables before giving up. Sometimes the data cables become loose from the drive or mother board, especially likely if anthing has been done to the PC recently. It's not something daft like a floppy left in the drive?

Both very good points Smile You may be lucky.

Do you run XP?

Can you start in safe mode?

If so, do you have a recent restore point?

Thanks for all those.
First stop was to check for floppy!
School was a bit wary me piling in with a screwdriver (strange!) and are waiting for tech support on Monday.
Cheers again

You must set the ad_network_ads_377.txt file to be writable (check file name as well).
