USB Battery

Just acquired (from a real shop, rather than online) two of these:

http://www.ethicalsuperstore.com/products/moxia/usb-cell-batteries-rechargeable-aa/

Expensive (paid, on Friday, a tenner for two of them in a shop) but handy, as I've got USB ports at work for recharging, on hardware that'll be turned on anyway, so I can keep the batteries charged if they're getting sluggish without needing a charger at each end. They can also be recharged as standard rechargeables alongside the others.

Nice gadget, rather useful I think. Not going to replace the batteries in our normal bike lights though, not enouch USB ports around for that.

Get a USB multipoint thing?

I bought a couple of these usb batteries for my oh for xmas last year - they have proved very useful indeed! Very Happy

He's battery powered? Explains so much.

Nice but as I use 4 at a time it would mean 4 usb ports taken up so I'll stick to my normal recharger/rechargables.

Could do, or when I've got a lot to charge I could just use the charger. I'm thinking that this is handy for topping up batteries at work, but not (at the current price) a replacement for the main rechargables in bike lights, etc.

Not bad... But pehaps not that handy in winter when my lights get most of their use? Nice gadget though.

Presumably someone out there is manufacturing solar battery chargers?
