It'll be 'OK' for them, wether they are protected or not is a gamble. I'd fork out again if I were you.

Personally I'd reckon it'd be ok, although official advice would be not to use.

Less than a year? Blimey, that's fresh for West Wales. Here stuff gets kept until it's finished, whatever the date on the bottle. I've seen farmers use antibiotics that were five years gone.
Personally I'd say that if the Crovect has been well stoppered and kept away from extremes of heat, it'd be fine.

Interesting, I found a new terramycin spray yesterday that died in Summer 2007, cost about £15 I think, I decided to keep it "just in case" altho I am not sure how effective it'd be...

They never should have let farmers use antibiotics without proper training or anthelmintics for that matter, we don't let people self-prescribe so why we let animal keepers do it left right & centre is beyond me

a very qualified specialist vet (cant remember his exact specialism now tho, i think eyes) told me that most animal medicines will keep for years so take the useby dates with a pinch of salt. if you think about it, it does makes sense for the medicinemakers to perpetuate the idea that everything will die if you dont buy fresh medicines all the time.
