Using PowerpointAfter creating a powerpoint presentation is there a way of choosing which page you go to next as you can with web pages? or do you just have to view the pages in the order they are loaded. I am running on Windows2000 don't know if this makes a difference.

According to the help you do the following
On the Outline tab in normal view, select one or more slide icons , and then drag the selection to a new location.
On the Slides tab in normal view, select one or more slide thumbnails, and then drag the selection to a new location.
In slide sorter view, select one or more slide thumbnails, and then drag the thumbnails to a new location.
To select multiple slides in a row, press SHIFT before clicking the slide icon or thumbnail.

You can also 'hide' slides if you want to skip over them but not delete them.

Are you talking about when you are actually viewing the presentation?
If so the easiest way is to click on the slide icon to the bottom left of the slide, select "go to slide" from the drop down menu and click the slide number you want to go to.

I'm pretty sure you can add hotspots, like a clickable link in a web site, that will take you to a specific page.

You can. We've used Powerpoint (SPIT) as a pub quiz/presentation, so that clicking on a right answer takes you to one slide, whilst clicking on others takes you elsewhere. You can, as others have suggested, hide slides, or drag and drop to rearrange the order.
