virus question.I Know this maybe a silly question but can you get a virus or spy ware from a forum? It is Not this one That I am concernd about so don't panick.

I think, not unless you've downloaded something or installed their software. But I might be wrong.
Have you got adaware installed, as well as a virus checker? It's free and it's good. Just run it once a week or so.

My OH does all that he knows his stuff but he not here till later tonight. Just a bit paniked in case I broke his pc.

Yes you can. It's technically possible. There are a couple of ways I can think of. The forum itself could be compromised by a security vulnerability or a user could posts a link leading to a site which has the nasty payload.

All the same if a browser is up to date, you will still need to accept the payload. it will not just happen invisibly.
