I have been looking at this, and a friend recommended Vonage - www.vonage.co.uk - they seem pretty good but I have not actually signed up yet so do not know what the service is like. I think having a system that works even if your PC is not turned on is useful. |

I use both a VoIP-based phone and Skype - I find the two compliment each other, and apart from (increasingly rare) bouts of unreliability Skype serves me rather well. A. |
