Water butt/tank problemThis is the butt/tank my friends at Permaculture have (click for larger pics) :-
The problem is they want to connect it to a hose to water the veggies. Does anyone know where we can get a connector to attatch a hose to this tap? They haven't managed to find anything to convert the large tap to a hose connection.

what size is it.
Can't you get reducers first, before adding the hose

I didn't have a tape measure unfortunately but it's 2 or 3 inches across

get a suitable tank fitting from a plumbers merchant with an outlet to fit your hose.
or fit a bibcock tap, outside tap and run a hose ffed off it.
otherwise you will have to fit a series of reducers.
good luck

I used a rubber pipe adapter that comes with two stainless jubilee clips. One side is large enough to fit on the IBC the other will take the end of a blue pipe (24mm alco pipe) fitting with the screw cap taken off. Add a dolop of silicon mastic & you can then fit what ever you need via the blue pipe.
Or you can get the end caps of ebay either with or without taps & fittings on them. Or check out THIS

Googling "IBC tank connector" comes up with some options such as: this. Not sure if all tanks have the same sized outlet.

Thanks, that should solve their problems.
