water saving idea from CATCame home with some good ideas from the Centre for Alternative Technology last week.
One we are going to try is that instead of using a downpipe to direct water in to a water butt or similar they hung a couple of old chains down from the guttering and in to the container. Due to fat old pigeons sitting on the guttering, the downpipe on the shed up the plot is forever falling off, so this may be a better way for us.
