Excellent Exciting, isn't it?
Isn't impossible that you could have common lizards down your way, you know. We get them here in a few places in and around Cambridge.

Lucky you If you have any snaky difficulties or if you find you have really high numbers let me know, I have a friend who is a herpetologist and he's always full of useful information. Come to think of it, I'll attempt to get him to join the site

Being a herpetologist in the UK must be one of the world's easiest niche jobs. Congratulations to him.

seems to get plenty of work, apparently there are colonies of all sorts of interesting reptiles in the UK if you know where to look, and he spends a lot of time telling motorway builders why they have to go round other areas lest it disturb the critters. Plus there is all the rescue work sorting out illicit imports of exotics. He does have some good stories though involving him in hospital after being bitten by scary things and having the doctors phone 'the experts' only to find its him they need to be talking to. Only man every to give me the excuse for being late for work that his finger had just been severed by a monitor lizard

i like snakes
they have less than 4 legs so i don't mind them at all
i start to worry if something has more than 4 legs
you never know which way something with more than 4 legs is going to run
congratulations on finding snakes in your garden

Ooo you're bound to have adders too, it's one of the reasons why I never wear sandals at my friend's farm on Baker's Lane, she's got loads of 'em! They're all hanging out round the old badger setts in the woods at the moment, probably won't see too many out and about till late summer, unless any brave souls want to sunbathe

Just don't come round mine scaremongering, I need all the staff I can get hold of, if the missus resigns I'm stuffed.

You need to write their contracts more securly. Resignation as an option should be too financially damaging. Come on man!!!
