We've got planning permissionYay - we got our planing permission today to convert our house and neighbouring barn into eco-gites and an older house and barn into our eco-house.
Might be a busy summer here in France then

... well, I've got this piece of string .....
OH won't let me put timescales on things but the plan is to get the first gite open by Christmas. We live in what will be the 2nd one so we need to make our new (old) house habitable, then do gite 2 before finishing our house.
So I don't know is the simple answer but I do know that getting planning permission was probably the easy bit

Good luck with the work. Have you worked out how to find customers for the gite? It's never too early to think about this kidn of thing.

That's good news Rosie . I like living on a building site - it's a perfect excuse for never doing any housework .

Thanks everyone -
@Boisdevie1 - got ideas about advertising - on here for a start - need to look into widescale advertising in more detail now.
@Marigold - as if I need an excuse not to do housework - which reminds me I MUST sweep downstairs. Friends are coming over tomorrow and the dogs are moulting and there is so much hair everywhere it looks like we have a carpet nt wooden flooring
