I went to this years and years ago - most enjoyable.

Glad you said that, as it's quite pricey but I'm quite tempted by a day out.
Bebo

I'll probably be going as its the OH's favourite show of the season, not sure what day yet.
Treacodactyl

I noticed the prices as well. Sadly they don't allow dogs or we'd be tempted. She does like to assist but I doubt she's pass as a true assistance dog.

I assume it's the same Weald Woodfair I went to - was held up Uckfield way (maybe Ardingley ??) back then. Programme looks similar, anyway.

Might go as it's near but their web site is a bit lacking in information.

Coincidentally I was there recently and was somewhat surprised to wander through their woods and suddenly find some historic house reconstructions

Ditto - I've been a few times and it's always been a great day out. Mind you it didn't cost anything like that amount when I last went - maybe 6 quid for an adult.

Went Saturday and cor, what a belting day out! Apart from the torrential shower at lunchtime it really was excellent.

And I got a lovely vintage grass hook for a fiver Very Happy

No because being a pillock I forgot my camera (and my coat...)

Hope you were near a marquee when the rain came down Very Happy robkb

It seemed a good moment for my daughter to make a tree fairy! gil

Glad you enjoyed the day out, robkb ! robkb

Just a reminder that this year's woodfair is on the weekend of 21-23 of September:

We'll be going, but again, not sure what day yet. In the meantime, this Saturday (15th) is the Weald of Kent Ploughing Match.

Cracking day on Saturday, but I pity anyone who went yesterday Sad Bebo

We went Saturday too and it was very pleasant wandering around in the sun. Seemed a bit less there this year. robkb

Yeah, a few stalls were missing from last year. And it felt like there was slightly less food this year, or perhaps that's just me sulking as the curry stall wasn't there! Bebo

I had a bunny burger. I won't bother again. robkb

Sussex Sausages for lunch, followed by a goat dog a bit later. Both good Very Happy

I think our next outing is this:

I expect that'll be the last of the shows we go to this year. Next seasonal event will be the Battle Bonfyre Boys extraveganza.

Thanks for that. I saw a sign as we were driving home but didn't get any details.
