Shouldn't be too difficult this time of year, apart from bread (always too salty). Don't think I'd fancy it much in the winter - there's only so much you can do with swedes and leeks

I'm going to be interested in how much 'real' Welsh produce he finds in the supermarkets, rather than the 'tourist' tins of Welsh jam, shortbread and horrid tinned laverbread that seem to dominate the Welsh section in our local Tescos. I havent noticed a great deal of ordinary produce, though the Tescos rep they interviewed seemed to think otherwise

I am getting sick of seeing Kenyan sweetcorn etc in our local Asda at this time of year, fair enough if you want babycorn in January but now, surely......... Welsh would be feasible?

It's back to the supermarkets and lack of choice, isn't it?
I can buy a couple of Welsh cheeses and one type of butter in Morrison's, but not a right lot else. But down the road at the Spar/Post Office, I can buy Welsh milk, bacon, sausages, ham, lamb, a wider range of cheese, a small selection of beers, veg and some nasty locally-made bread.
The people involved in the experiment would do better to walk down their High Street than pop into the big supermarket.

I can't understand why you have a problem with corn, Judith. It grows like a weed with us!

I know what the problem is this year - I did a 2 out of 3 sisters thing, and planted the corn among my courgettes, as I thought it would like the shelter. Bad move - they have been shaded by the bullying courgette plants, haven't had enough water and probably need feeding, despite liberal applications of FYM before planting. It might have worked better among the pumpkins which don't grow so high.
But it has never performed well since we have been here. Too windy, perhaps.
