what a weekend!wow. i made it back in one piece!
just got back last night from the 14th century in pembroke castle. being the hard core re-enactorthat i am. there was no way weather was going to stop play. we just took all our displays into the towers instead. however, i started the weekend full of vim and gusto. we have some very quiet and shy members who are newish to the group and have yet to build their confidence with members of the public. so me myself and i tried my best to keep them happy by dominating the room. (which i managed very well if i do say so myself  )
but the room next door was to be my play area. what a room. round, vaulted and amazing acousics. and here i told my storys. what fun and i do love a large audience
then came the night....... i had everyone fed on beef stew and blackend jacket rocks (i burnt the spuds)
and so to bed...... 5.15 in the morning the weather finaly got the better of the tent! ripped all the tent pegs out and tried to blow it away. so there i am in my shift and coat. torrential rain trying to get my pegs back in (i did have help) wondering why i do this?
got it all pinned back down and went back inside to find my poor babies soaked. luke looked like someone had thrown bath of water over him. abbie faired slightly better but blankie was covered in mud. poor poor babies did me proud. luke got up without a word. took his sleeping bag and hung it to dry. found a cloak wrapped his sister up. then himself and lay down to go back to sleep.  and he is only nine. what a guy... than just when i thought he was nodding off i heard his little voice pipe up with. mum are you warm enough? do you want me to get in with you to warm you up? bless im.
next day they carry on with out even rubbing their eyes.
and i played to my public again  good god i am turning into such a prima donna "i'm ready for my close up"
i love it!!!!!!!!!!!
but this morning i have a sore throat 
too much gusto or too much rain?
it remains to be seen
