Last year the teenagers decided they couldn't wear choir sweatshirts anymore so we got hoodies.

The altar hanging looks gorgeous - beautiful colours. Is it felt?

thanks, it's ages since I did anything like this, relaxation from all the sorting out and packing.
Yes I did a felt background and needlefelt for the lettering, my first try at needlefelt.

They're lovely - I like the hanging very much. And the name - sometimes I feel like my main purpose in life is to walk dogs!

Thanks for the replies.
Just recovering from a very emotional morning,
I gave the presents at the end of the morning service, having cried through every hymn, no good putting my glasses on to read the words I couldn't focus anyway.
I've been here for 22 years and have alot of friends, and memories of when my children were younger. People who've helped me through alot of tough times and seen us all grow up. It's only just sinking in I'm moving away in 10 days. I've been so focussed on clearing out the junk I haven't thought much about what next.
The name's because I'm self-employed doing home holiday boarding and dogwalker. Till Friday anyway, then that finishes too.

Where will you be off to Dogwalker?
I love the altar hanging. As others have said, the colours are beautiful and complement the words wonderfully.

I haven't had the chance to look for a new place yet, looking after too many dogs for other people.
I've got an old campervan, we're coming up to Wales for a holiday/ househunt and see where I'd like to be.
3 set dates - moving day, A'level results and house sitting for a friend down here, and uni start day for my son. Apart from that nothing is planned. I don't usually do unplanned so it's getting a bit scary.
When Gareth goes to uni I'll re-assess and see if I need to move in with Mum or rent somewhere near her, she's not well.
Thanks for all the comments about the altar hanging, it's based on a prayer someone in the parish wrote and has been adopted as a parish prayer to end each service.
Yesterday everyone thought the presents were great and the choir teenagers loved the bear,
Now just got to get packed.
