What on earth...

...was Jimmy Cliff wearing on Later last night? Shocked

Nell Merionwen

Oh, I thought you liked it. I have made you one.

I realised where BA gets his dancing influence from now.
robkb

What was he wearing then? I haven't watched it yet.
Barefoot Andrew

Looked like a lizard suit to me...
A.
sean

He was dressed as a lizard or he was wearing a suit of lizard-skin?
robkb

Either way, it's just wrong.
sean

Could have been worse. He could have been wearing pyjama bottoms, black tights and clumpy boots and no top.

It's too hot for that sort of erotic fantasy...

Pyjama bottoms, black tights, open-toed sandles and no top?
sean

I thought that was fine*. Esperanza Spalding's keyboardist's hair stylist needs taking out and shooting though.
BW was very impressed that Jimmy Cliff's dancing referenced LMFAO.

Edit: * Jimmy Cliff's performance on Later. Not Chez's putative outfit.

How about if the jammy bottoms are worn below the level of the buttocks so the underpants are on full display? Laughing earthyvirgo

Oh God, I do hate seeing stranger's underpants Sad
The worst 'look' at the moment. What is it all about?

It's the Young People. When they get a bit older their buttocks expand enough to keep them up properly. Marionb

No idea. In my case it's rarely strangers, so I do get to tell them to pull their ruddy pants up Laughing Though to be fair the underpants are generally quite substantial.

(I wish I'd had a video camera to get the 15 year old lad, happy as a pig in muck, skipping with his mates holding a rope made of nicked paper clips and holding his trousers up.)

I actually caught myself loitering longer than necessary in Tesco a while back, convinced that one Young Person's trousers where going to fall down ... but they didn't, he just kept hitching them up.

I hasten to add, I just wanted to see the embarrassment on his face, nowt else.

They're stitched in aren't they, the pants - to the trousers? Shocked

I still havent worked out why my sons havent fallen down yet... he doesnt wear them quite that low but his underpants are on show most of the time... Rolling Eyes Jamanda

EV

No - they do fall down occasionally.
Chez

I wonder if there'd be a market for stitched-in ones? Idea Jamanda

I think some of the casual wear ones are. But I believe they are seen as de rigeur. At least by the trend setters of North Devon. (de rig oo arrr?)
