What's best this weekend - pier, beach or estuaryI might do some fishing this weekend. I've got the choice of pier, beach or estuary. What do you reckon would be best. I'm thinking of using mackerel as bait. Does that sound OK. With my freshwater rod I was also thinking of spinning a bit. Is there anything out there likely to go for a spinner?
Sorry for all the questions. It's been ages since I've been fishing and I would like to catch loads of stuff to make it worthwhile.

depends where you are in the country as to your chances of catching in any of the chosen places , mackeral will take all species of fish if they fancy it , i would go to the esturay and try for flounders etc maybe a bass if you leave a longish bit of skin to flap at the end of you hook tight lines which ever you choose

dont go to abbotsbury, spent the afternoon there & only caught 1 gurnard
