What's the best thing to do with Elderflower?I have read lots of posts about elderflower, particularly Cabs'.Now suddenly the elderflower has come out and it is everywhere. We were out walking at the weekend and got some very funny looks off people who saw us standing by an elder nibbling at the flowers (I had never tried them before). I know Cab said he would put up a champagne recipe, would this be a good idea for someone who really has no idea? |

Cordial is the easiest thing, I think. You can freeze it, so no worries about it going off too. |

I've never used anything apart from cordial which is absolutely great, useful for all sorts of things. |

You could also have a go at elderflower wine or elederflower champagne http://www.selfsufficientish.com/elderflowercordial.htm
or elderflower fritters is another popular one. Dip some flowers into a batter then fry for a bit. |
