What should I use for a database?Bit out of touch with databases but I need to create a simple one for mailouts etc. Need to be able to print labels, identify categories and dates - apart from that just the basics. Any suggestions for a novice?
Thanks

I have recently started to use Open Office for various things, there is a good database included in this suite.
I have not yet used it to print labels but it is possible as I have just found this info from a Google search.
Open Office is freeware so you can try it out at no cost, and if you do not like it then you will not loose out.
Here is the link I found:

I assume you could do what you describe in Excel (or a combo of Word and Excel), but I don't know how to myself...

Unless it's for serious CRM work, excel does pretty much everything I need, is very searchable and can handle plenty of data. I know I've got one mailing list at around 23,000 lines. No idea how far you can go.

Cool. Combined with Word and/or a half decent mail package, it does all the things I need.

Nick merely confirmed what I said. Actually.

Yes, but you're a girl. It's just like a buzzing in our ears, love.
