can get it easily enough in Cardiff but its a bit 'anonymous', would prefer to get it from a source we can be certain of welfare standards though, hence hoping someone on here sells it

Likewise. Richard used to sell it, and it was delicious, but I have a sneaky feeling he no longer does? Not sure where that knowledge/assumption came from though Laughing

i understand that. i don't buy it now, some of these shops have dubious practices which i don't care for.

i buy mutton from my local farm shop. very similar in taste and texture, cheaper and known source.

There's a fella who's just started keeping sheep on the field next door to us, had a chat with him this morning about running a flock of something nice (maybe Blue Faced Leicester) on our sheepy field (3 acres) and goat or deer on the well field (10 acres). He sounded interested, will let you all know if we start stocking goat.

That'd be great Laughing

Who from in High Wycombe, Jenn? That's not too far from us.

I have goats but not on a commercial scale. My first year I happened to have 3 male kids so had plenty. Last year I had 2 girls, and this year a girl and a boy so I will probably keep him for us. Tho I may be on for a swap again Rob. He's going to have to go soon - he's getting to be a nuisance!
Andrea.

Yeah, sure, just let me know at the time Smile
Faithmead

Well....if I don't find a new home for this Male kid by end of month - he's gotta go for meat. Confused
