Why has ...... the font on the buttons in the 'User Status' section gone all round rather than nice and narrow like all the other text on buttons and tabs?
I'm not complaining, mind. Just wondering if it's just me. In a pedantic and possibly OCD kind of way ...

I've been meaning to have a go at Jema about them, agree they look out of place.

I'm surprised the Font Nerds haven't picked up on it before, actually. If it's bugging me, they must be apoplectic .

If you've clicked "watch this topic" at the bottom af a thread, so it sends you an email when someone posts in it, then it will also show in you "my topics".

*shakes head in bewilderment*
The buttons were replaced the other day - when Jema added "My Topics" the text wasn't anti-aliased so I re-made all four buttons.
Shall I flagellate myself and then make some font adjustments? Or perhaps I'll just flagellate myself anyway, for a laugh .

| Jamanda wrote: | | What on Earth does "anti-aliased" mean? |
If the text were purely composed of white pixels on the button's green background there'd be a pronounced "jagged" effect on the lettering. Anti-aliasing is where additional hues (of greens or greys in this instance) are used around the edges of the lettering to fool our eyes into seeing smooth edges.

As a newcomer i have not seen the original, so am unable to be suitably incensed by the change!. I think this is completly unfair as i like a good incensement every now and then, so please can you for the sake of fairness to all newcomers place the two versions side by side so we too can included.
Generally open to incensement, and totally offended by missing out I remain

Actually - I like the new buttons better. The writing seems to be clearer. Is it bigger?

No, well, they're all busy getting on their high horses and being passive-aggressive, aren't they? Or, god-forbid, earning a living ...
I think it's a fatter font. But you would have to ask Gervase exactly what it's name is ...
